Light up Liverpool is a musical group that was borne out of the need to bring together different people in the city of Liverpool community and its environ and also to have a common ground where we can all meet, organise and stage musical concerts to minister to the needs of members of the public.

The vision was conceived in the year 2015 with the primary aim and objective of lighting up the city of Liverpool through musical concerts to impact lives

The aim of this musical group is to facilitate an atmosphere to bring together people from different background and support diversity through music.

Light-Up Liverpool musical group is formed by over 50 members and growing, from a diverse background, different ages, beliefs singing together, and embracing a common belief that they can all be happy doing what they enjoy doing, making friends in the process and making their community a better, stronger and more cohesive place.

We sing contemporary and traditional songs, rich in harmony, full of movement and expression to indulge the audience in songs that could elevate their mood and spiritual state of mind as our Motto says (MUSIC FOOD FOR THE SOUL).

We are not restricted by Colour, denomination, Sex, religion and Cultural background, we create an atmosphere that embraces diversity through music. Our members come from various wards and districts of Liverpool.

Light Up Liverpool is using this project to encourage community integration, celebrate diversity, community cohesion and also to promote a stronger community especially for the youth and young ones, our belief is that this project can do a lot to lift the spirits of individuals in the community via music and change mindsets when many people sing together, enjoy together making friends and doing their best to make their community a better place to live in with everyone contributing their fair share to the society where they live.

Our events are completely free for all attendees. This was formed from local community members and everyone is fully involved in the design and planning of all our events so there is no barrier for anyone joining the group and attending our concerts.
